Healthy bodies and growing minds go hand in hand, as many studies show. This is true for healthy adults-and even more so for growing children. It has been shown that a child's mind, if unstimulated, will reach an age level when some learning advantage is lost if not exercised (the old "use it or lose it" adage). And as we age this still holds true-older folks tend to live longer if they do puzzle solving and maintain extended family ties. I love tedious needlework, very similar to doing puzzles. Several years ago a friend remarked "I just don't want to think that hard." He has since experienced a decline in mental ability, so the work is well worth it, and can in fact be a lot of fun. Here are some offerings to keep your child's mental gears well oiled! ![]() Save Your Favorite Photos as Tapestry! Actual Project Shown
