Seems like there is a variety of music for every listener! Even within a music genre, we each prefer different artists and different songs that an artist may have performed. Like learning to enjoy a variety of foods, learning to appreciate a variety of music styles can be important. I have one son who came home from elementary school and requested that I purchase a classical music album that his teacher had played while the class was doing a quiet assignment. This young man went through the obligatory heavy metal phase in the early 1990's and at various times had his head shaved and wore a ponytail down to his waist. Through it all, he never stopped appreciating this album - and now that son is progressing fast as a member of the US Navy. He still listens to heavy metal - and Eine Kleine Nachtmusik!
