It's hard to imagine what life would be like if the discoveries of ancient science had been fully developed! Some early inventions and discoveries were destroyed by war, some simply lost because their creators did not have the vision and cooperation that modern society lends. Still others, such as surgical techniques documented by the Roman Dr Galen, were simply ignored by history and remained on dusty shelves to be recently rediscovered. Would we have reached the moon 1000 years ago? Would we have had electricity and communications during the American Revolution?
