Military schooling can mean any number of things, from ROTC to traditional boarding school. Whether or not membership in this type of training leads to military service, the strength of character it can provide may make a great difference in the outcome of young lives. We have an extended family member who has enrolled in ROTC training at her middle school, now continuing at high school, and the finishing touches on this young lady's personality are wonderful to behold. She is not turning out "butch" or agressive, but more respectful and helpful than we thought she would be at this age. She has a clear goal in her life and enjoys participating in military exercises when they are scheduled. I think that's what parents have in mind when enrolling their children in military schools and academies. In doing so we are also ensuring the leadership of our military in the future, a need that we cannot leave to chance. Here are books and links to assist in your decisions about early military training.
