Stop Pushing Me around!: A WorkPlace Guide for the Timid, Shy, and Less Assertive

Getting along at the office or in any business setting isn't that far removed from getting along at home. Respect for persons, office procedure and company rules is paramount in getting along and getting ahead at the office. I remember a young lady who worked as an office assistant under my management. She often came to work wearing inappropriate attire, sometimes with her brassiere showing under an transparent blouse, sometimes with a skirt much too short for an office setting. One day she came to me and asked if open-toed shoes were okay-but never asked about her belly button which was out in the open under a short midriff shirt. I think we let her go the next day. Here are some books and resources to help keep you from making the same mistakes!
