If you have time, mix dry milk and warm water until milk is dissolved, add other ingredients and chill until ready to whip and serve. A delicious substitute for whipped topping or whipped cream is softened cream cheese sweetened with powdered sugar, flavored with a little vanilla and whipped to the desired consistency. The presence of sugar will thin the cream cheese, but you can add milk a little at a time to thin if necessary. If it becomes too thin, use the mixture as a wonderful glaze.
