Personal philosophy in feeding a household pet or domestic animal can be anything from table scraps to scientifically formulated feeds. Often your choice of feed will depend on budget, but it is always best to understand the nature of the beast. If your pet evolved as a carnivore, he needs protein and very little in the way of vegetable matter. If he is an herbivore he wouldn't thrive on meat products.
