Competitive sports are compelling for athlete and spectator alike. My interest in martial art forms as a sport grew out of my son's participation in martial arts training. I've had a great time watching baseball, football and basketball games even though I'm not an avid fan. The best time I ever had was attending a basketball game where a 13-game losing streak was broken when a tiebreaking ball was thrown as a last resort from across the court just as the final buzzer rang. The ball bounced off the hoop, off the backboard-and into the net. I thought the crowd was going to break the stadium just from the yelling and stomping! Wow-let's do some more.
